Sessions are delivered on a one to one basis, during school hours only, at the Palace Hotel in Buxton. Prices £45 per hour. For availability and to book just click “book”.
“Had a fantastic first lesson yesterday. Thanks so much for helping me to start on my journey to overcome my fears around swimming and finally start to progress from doggy paddle. Such a great teacher!”

I went to Suzie for help to improve my swim speed. She really listened well and quickly understood where I was having difficulty. Suzie gave excellent feedback on my technique and a few important things to work on. The next time I was in the pool I was already swimming faster using a more streamlined head position and straighter arm strokes. I would definitely recommend a one to one session with Suzie.

Fabulous teacher & coach. Totally individualised lessons to meet my needs . Great explanations, demonstrations in and out of the water. A wonderfully enjoyable, encouraging experience. So nurturing to have a teacher who cares passionately that you achieve your swimming aspirations with confidence.

Suzie was amazingly calm for my swimming lessons. Her patience was very welcomed as I sought to learn front crawl. I love the venue too, the pool depth means you can stand up all the way which also adds to the positive experience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Suzie and her lessons.

Suzie is great. Really knowledgable, good fun and I made great progress in a short time.

I had a pool based swimming lesson with Suzie for a couple of reasons; firstly I needed to get back in the water, secondly I wanted to relearn front crawl.
Suzie had the patience of a saint with me, and eventually had to get in the pool to protect me from the scary drains 😂
I have plenty of things to work on and a base to build from but I’m getting there!
So if you too are terrified of drains in swimming pools, or any other random water based phobias you are in good hands! Safe hands!
I’ve also been out for a couple of wild swims with Suzie, very enjoyable (point to point river swim is great), and the cake afterward is top notch!

Suzie is a patient teacher who explained what was needed to improve my stroke in a very clear way.

“Fantastic technique swimming coach - planning to attend more this year.”
-Andy
Suzie was my swimming teacher when I wanted to learn front crawl. I could never get my breathing right and always took on board lots of water! Suzie helped me master this with her patience and guidance, she’s great at explaining what she wants you to try and always provides varying solutions to the problems I had, she will also get in the pool with you to demonstrate as well. 😁👍 I would highly recommend her. ⭐️

I had two individual lessons with Susie at the palace Hotel in Buxton. She was so patient and kind that I never at any time felt she was patronising me. I did learn a lot although didn't achieve my goal as life got in the way of me continuing. Now thinking I will complete what I started.
I was in my late sixties and felt there was no reason that I shouldn't actually go on and achieve what I started.
Just do it.

Although I’ve been swimming since childhood I haven’t had any lessons since I was a teenager. Having signed up for a swimming challenge I decided I needed some help with my technique. I booked a lesson with Suzie which was excellent, she took me back to basics and clearly and patiently explained how to improve my front crawl so that by the end of the session I was much more confident and could feel a real difference in how I swam. She also gave me advice on what to work on going forward. I completed my challenge and would really recommend Suzie for anyone who feels they need to improve their swimming skills.

Suzie's a brilliant coach: listens to your needs, identifies changes to make, gives clear instruction and inspires belief in your capacity to improve. She makes it all fun again.
-Sue
I found out about Suzie as I was looking for a Coach to help with my outdoor swimming. To aid my technique a did many indoor 1-2-1 lessons with her. Suzie really is a brilliant Coach. All my strokes have improved. Especially my breaststroke which for some reason I used to go backwards on. She literally helped me to move forwards. You won't be disappointed if you put your trust in her. ❤️

Although I have known Suzie for a while, it took some time for me to pluck up the courage to contact her for private lessons to learn how to do front crawl. Eventually, I booked a lesson, and I am so pleased that I did - what a fantastic experience!
Suzie was great fun to work with; she tailored the session to focus on my breathing and stroke technique. Suzie closely monitored my actions and provided clear advice & guidance throughout the lesson.
Now that I have had a follow-up lesson, I am confident that I can accomplish something that previously I thought I would not be able to do.
Suzie is committed and very much invested in guiding & helping you to succeed. I highly recommend her, and I do not think that you will find anyone better

I'm a chatty, head-up breaststroke kinda swimmer as I find front crawl breathing hard work and so I asked Suzie if she could help me to improve. I had two sessions in the pool with her. She went back to basics and gave me tips on technique along with drills to practice - head positioning, reducing leg kick and using hip rotation which helped massively. She has a lovely, encouraging and positive approach which you can't fail to be inspired by.

Suzie is great. Really knowledgable, good fun and I made great progress in a short time.

Suzie helped me improve my stroke this summer. I found it hard to trust the process of actually learning a new skill and that's where Suzie totally made the difference. Intuitively Suzie knew how to link all the small learning pieces together in to something that achieved progress by observing my body before my brain had caught up.
If you've not met Suzie and are wondering about booking on, you'll be in for a treat if you do. Suzie's blend of professionalism and a relaxed approach is a joy to experience.
